Library name stamped on bottom edge of text block; seminary library book plate on inside front cover; ownership stamp and hand printed name (dated 1938) on front end papers and on outer margin of title page; very faint library blind stamp on lower corner of title. Interior pages are generally clean. Peter Brown (1666-1735) Irish divine who became Bishop of Cork and Ross. His "Things divine and supernatural" [published anonymously] is an in-depth reply to criticisms leveled at him by George Berkeley (see Berkeley s dialogue "Alciphron").
