Jefferson Coolidge , following page twenty. Index. List of Club members and subscribers to this publication. This is a refreshing , interesting look at Jefferson. Calley and Ticknor also called on John Marshall. They carried a letter from John Adams to Jefferson. The mss. of this journal was discovered in 1872 in a trunk in the office of William Gray. It was contained in a small red morocco covered book with a tongue and loop to keep it closed. The trunk also included letters from Lafayette , John Quincy Adams , and James Madison. This book is bound beautifully in cloth decorated with gold gilt . The printing is exquisitely done by The Riverside Press. Bookseller Inventory # 007637
