About this Item

8.25" x 5.25". 111pp. Red paper wrappers. Near fine condition. (One eight page section bound in upside down, but nothing is missing.) One of the most bizarre crime items we have seen. This is a narrative poem detailing the grisly murder of a hog farmer and his family, apparently over money. The murderer, James Collett, was convicted, and eventually electrocuted. We have sold "The History of France in Rhyme" and "Snow Covered Wagons," Julia Altrocchi's weird poem about the Donner Party, but this macabre verse takes the cake. This copy signed and inscribed by the author on the title page. Bookseller Inventory # 128
