Interesting essays on his travels in Europe and Britain. With a prefatory memoir by Mary Howitt. 12mo. Frontis., vi, [v]-xxvi, [9]-364 pp. Not in Smith, American travellers abroad, but three other works of his are. Publisher's charcoalcloth stamped and embossed in blind on cover and lettered in gilt (faded) on spine. Ex?social club library: 19th-century bookplate, call number on endpaper, pressure-stamp on title-page, paper shelving label at top of spine, no other markings. Top of spine pulled; corners of binding worn through to under-lying boards. Wrinkling of the upper inner corners of front endpapers and fly-leaves. Internally clean. Bookseller Inventory # 30579
