Bound in 1/4 morocco, orange calf spine label over marbled boards. Newtown, PA: Bird & Bull Press, 1987. Limited edition, no. 43 of 310 copies. Printed on dampened handmade Umbria paper. With two mounted color illustrations, a facsimile of the Origianl 1642 Lyon Manuscript, 4 black and white plates and a tipped-in photographic sequence illustrating the marbling process. The book concludes with 13 mounted marbled samples. The laid-in prospectus notes that , "Richard Wolfe is well known for his long association with marbling, both as historian and practicing marbles.Bird & Bull Press has published three previous books by Mr. Wolfe on the subject of marbling."
