Three typed letters (two signed) to Playboy Magazine. In the longest letter (unsigned to Larry Siegel) Nash rails against the magazine over its use of Christmas cartoons: "I am distressed and indignant at what I consider to be a breech of confidence and a piece of gratuitous cruelty on the part of a presumably responsible editor." He goes on to write: "While I approve of Christmas and approve of ribaldry, a combination of the two has always offended me." In a letter dated two weeks later (March 2, 1961) whatever specifically had upset Nash seems to have been resolved, with him writing to Spectorsky, the literary editor: "We all seem to have been the victims of a misunderstanding." Included with the letters is the December 1960 Playboy Christmas gala issue, which prints a rather tame two page spread of holiday verses by Larry Siegel, titled: "Missives and missiles for the jolly season (five poems with accompanying cartoons)." Both the magazine and the Nash letters are in excellent condition. Perfect for your inner Scrooge, and sold with Nash's Santa Go Home: A Case History for Parents. Boston / Toronto: Little, Brown and Company, 1967. First Edition. Illustrated by Robert Osborn. Cloth; illustrated dust jacket; 8vo. Spine tips and corners a little bumped and frayed, otherwise a nice, bright copy of the book. Dust jacket a little soiled; scuffed and chipped along spine and edges; not price-clipped, in mylar. Very Good+ in Good+ dust jacket. Bookseller Inventory # D472
