Front cover has two paper pasted-on sepia illustrations with gold borders, as well as gold and black lettering and decorations; back cover also have gold lettering. Black and white photographs and illustrations. Both hinges cracked, some webbing showing, not broken. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Covers have light surface wear; small chip to one photo. Gold portions of lettering faded in some areas. Endpapers quite tanned, name in ink on rear endpaper. Pages lightly tanned, more so at periphery, but still supple. Pages generally clean and unmarked, except for a occasional light handling smudges. Two pages have a one-inch tear at bottom edge in margin. 306 pages. No dust jacket. Edited by Marshall Everett. Pictures graphically explained by Wymble Flemming.
