About this Item

Including James Cole of Stowey, John Millard of Stogursey and the dial makers Pyke of Bridgwater and Cox of Taunton. Limited printing of 300 copies, each one numbered. I cannot praise this superb book highly enough. The research has clearly been most exacting, and the actual book really is outstandingly good. 448pp. inc. index. Good bibliography, and well illustrated throughout. The first 14 chapters are devoted to the Thristle makers. Then pendulum bobs, the Thristle lather-, the Leversha family, John Millard, James Cole, Thomas Pyke, Bridgwater engravers and japanners, The Cox family and finale.
