About this Item

Red cloth hardcover (7.5 x 10.5) with highly decorated front cover in black and gilt. 1896 printing pertitle page and 1895 copyright. Good condition. Inside is unmarked, bright and clean. One page has a tear that closes. Some damage to front pastedown where stickers were, otherwise endpapers are very nice. A stain on spine and cover is torn along hinge in rear spine gutter. Hinges are still fairly sturdy. A splendid fold-out photo of Rev. Jones preaching at the Union Gospel Tabernacle, built by a scoffer turned convert. The builder's name was Ryman and after he died, the building was renamed the Ryman Auditorium. Later it became the home of The Grand Ole Opry. Jones was a Methodist Evangelist. Many splendid illustrations. Enjoy reading with a real book in your hands. Shipping from North Carolina. Dedicated to delighting our customers. Delivery confirmation provided on all domestic orders.
