About the Author: Born visually imparied, Jake now sixteen, wrote his first works at the tender age of thirteen. He's been published in various forums to include Hispanic Magazine, Reflections of Light, The National Library of Poetry and presented with the Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. Guest Speaker for Austin International Poetry Festival, and the Texas National Guard's black History Program, on the subject "Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow".
