"Tom Swift and His Sky Train or Overland Through the Clouds" by Victor Appleton. First edition thus, early printing. Published by Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1931. The book measures 5" x 7.5", 218 pages with an additional 2 pages of publisher's advertisements. Illustrated with black-and-white frontispiece. The original dust jacket is in fair condition. Wear and soiling to the panels with chips and creases to the extremities. Paper loss at the rear panel and into the spine. Tape repairs made to the verso of the jacket at the spine, flap folds, and rear panel. Small pencil check marks on the flaps. The last book listed on the front flap is "Tom Swift and His Giant Magnet". The book is in very good minus condition. The tan illustrated cloth boards are well preserved with minor soiling on the rear board. Previous owner's inscription in pencil on the front endpaper along with paper remnant.
