About this Item

First Edition. 8vo. Decorated Publisher's Cloth in Yellow on Black. First Edition. Barzun & Taylor, #2898. Reilly, pp. 772Ð5. Dr. Fu Manchu was created by Ward[e] in 1913 and was the subject of many novels, gradually reforming and working for the League of Nations. This is a sinister tale of Fu Manchu's deviltry with the cast of Fu Manchu, his daughter Fah Lo Suee, the illustrious detective Denis Nayland Smith and the exotic Fleurette. Some consider this one of Rohmer's best. He was at the peak of his popularity in the 1930's. Slight wear to ends of spine and corners. Decoration very bright. Very Good. Bookseller Inventory # 8314
