Synopsis: William Studebaker is a sixth-generation westerner and fourth-generation Idahoan. The poetry in "Travelers in an Antique Land" offers insight into life in the High Desert. The photographs that accompany the poems are traditional in form and consist of images intended to convey a relaxed but philosophical look at the High Desert environment, leaving prolonged space for poetic musing.
About the Author: William Studebaker was educated at Idaho State University and the University of Idaho. He has published five collections of poetry and coedited Idaho's Poetry: A Centennial Anthology and Where the Morning Light's Still Blue: Personal Essays about Idaho.
