First edition. Green cloth with spine stamped in gilt; 279 ps. A tight, frsh example, spine gilt bright, a few tiny droplets front cloth and a round area of very slight discoloration rear cloth. In all, an exemplary copy of this classic work which was out of print until 2004. Isaac Jennings took his medical degree from Yale and practiced traditional medicine until about 1822 when, after being dissatisfied in the results of treatment in a case of thyphoid fever, he published the first work on his theory of orthopathy (or Natural Hygiene as it has become known) and was one of the first to actively pronounce proper hygienic conditions proper nutrition as vital to health.
