Moderate toning and light foxing to text, internally clean. $650. * Sanderson, a 31-year old poacher caught in the act by a gamekeeper, was married and the father of young children. His harrowing pre-execution letters to his wife are reprinted in full. Sample excerpt: "Good bye, my love, I shall carry your last look at me to the fatal tree. Kiss my dear children for me, and tell them their father is gone to heaven." The other three defendants were tried and convicted of the murder of John Timms by throwing him from a bridge into the River Trent. This pamphlet is designated the second edition, but we did not locate a first or any other edition.
