His Divinity Swami Prakashanand Saraswati (Shree Swamiji) was born in a respectable brahman family in 1929 in Ayodhya (India). Withdrawn from the attractions of the world, he completed his studies and at age of 21, renounced the world and took the order of sanyas. Seeing his renunciation, determination and the deep devotional feelings for God, in 1952, he was offered to become the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, but his heart was drawn towards the love of Radha Krishn, so he did not accept the proposal.
Later on he went to Braj, India and spent almost 20 years in isolation mostly in Barsana, in the loving remembrance of Radha Krishn. In 1972, with the will of his Divine Master, Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, he began his mission of teaching the path of raganuga bhakti (divine-love-consciousness) to the world.
Shree Swamiji has authored nine books on the practical (devotional) aspects of God realization, explaining the detailed philosophies of the Hindu scriptures. He has recorded more than 300 discourses on the Gita, Upnishads, and Brahma Sutra which are carried by cable networks in several U.S. cities and in India. He is the founder of Barsana Dham Ashram, Austin, TX; Rangeeli Mahal, Barsana, India and Jagadguru Dham, Vrindaban, India.
When the first edition of the book was published in 1999, Shree Swamiji was honored with the award of "Dharm Chakrvarti" (the Spiritual Master of the World) by the World Religious Parliament in New Delhi, India for bringing the most important aspects of Hinduism with logical, scriptural, scientific, philosophical and historical evidences to the world.
