The story of thefamous then infamous New York City law firm of Howe and Hummel. The firm, bewteen its founding in 1869 and 1907, when the district attorney put it out of business, defended over a thousand people indited for murder and manslaughter, were pre-eminent divorce lawyers and were the leading theatrical attorneys of the day.
