About this title

Synopsis:

"No Turning Back" is the first tale in this book which contains a variety of human interest stories, some humorous, some to stir your imagination - even a children's story written to be read to small people. Some tales are personal, drawn from my own experiences. Human beings and how they cope with adversity has always inspired me to write. About the Author:

Born in London, England and emigrating in the 1950's Barbara and her husband raised their family of six children in Australia. When the children had all flown the nest Barbara concentrated on acquiring higher education to improve the quality of her writing, which had always been a life long interest. Barbara's positive outlook, plus, her sense of humour shines through her stories. She says the most valuable lessons in life have been learnt from observing how human s cope with adversity. Compassion and empathy are her constant companions. Joining a U3A writing class in 1986 was a turning point for Barbara, and the introduction to competitions taught her discipline and economy of words. Her study is lined with Winner's certificates, framed by her late husband, all of which attest to her talent. Now in her eighties, Barbara belongs to the Adult Education at Hawthorn, Melbourne where her work has been chosen to be printed in their anthology.
