About this Item

Bound in blue cloth with titles stamped in black. Crossover copy printed from the Clode plates but bound by G&D, with their dust wrapper. The story contains unusual elements of fantasy. The cloth shows just a hint of edgewear. Penciled gift inscription dated 1926 to the front pastedown, with the recipient's name again on the rear pastedown, otherwise unmarked. The wrapper shows moderate edgewear and small chips, with the largest 1" x 1/2" at the rear fold, affecting only the green lettering on the jacket's verso. Dust jacket art by E. C. Caswell, better known for his work in the field of boy's fiction. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy with the jacket now in mylar. Clute and Nicholls p. 1236. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 124706
