Designed and illustrated in pastel color silhouette drawings of classical Greek figures by Bruce Rogers. Introductory note on the design by Rogers. Printed on Eglish handmade rag paper at the Thistle Press in New York. A reprint of Nicholas Breton's 1626 portion of "Fantastickes" with a brief essay on each of the 12 months and on Christmas. The second portion, "A Prognostication" is a month by month calendar usable for calculating the days of the week from 1951 to 1979. AS NEW in original red cardboard slipcase, alos fine and the original glassine dust wrapper with panels and flaps intact but spine strip lacking. A beautifully and elegantly produced book.
