About this title

Here is a great American book. It lingers where it matters: in the hearts and minds of those readers receptive to an epic vision. With clear, spare, hyper-real clarity, the book aspires to be a belletristic meditation on (among other things) love and sex, art, trust, politics, science, and popular culture. With utter simplicity and an unexpectedly intense storytelling style, it achieves all that and more. It looms large as the perfect modern parable - a poem of literature, of protest, of ideas - and it is also a magazine of 'comic book' propensities. In the original sense of the word, this poetry is a novel.

About the Author:

Dr. Patten graduated summa cum laude from Columbia and holds an MD from the same University. He lives with his wife and the cat PJ (Patten) in sleepy Seabrook, Texas. This is his best, first, worst and only humanistic poetry book. He has others about stock market poetry. He is listed in Who's Who in Poetry, and in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He has been published in multiple literary journals but doesn't think much of it. One reason that his poetry is so popular (this little tome is his best selling book by far) is that he believes Poetry is beauty and truth expressed succinctly. All his poems are short and reach a moral, esthetic, and logical conclusion.
