About the Author: Author Princess Der Ling was the daughter of a Chinese diplomat. She lived with the Dowager Empress Tzu-hsi (Cixi) and the Imperial Family in the early 1900s. Noël Fletcher is a former foreign correspondent. She lived and worked in China, Hong Kong and traveled through other countries across Asia. She has interests in history, crime, and art. Her books often involve investigative research.
