Description:

This American astronomer and botanist was named curator of astronomy at the American Museum of Natural History in 1924 and head of the then-new Hayden Planetarium in 1935. TLS, 1p, 8" X 10½", New York, NY, 1930 April 25. Addressed to A.M. MacMahon (curator of physics and chemistry at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry). Very good. On letterhead of "The American Museum of Natural History," Fisher writes: "Although it is not very good photographically I shall be pleased to send you a copy of my photograph of Galileo's telescopes.
