Typed Letter Signed (7 1/4 x 8 1/2 inch) on printed stationary with original envelope, dated December 2, 1904. On its stationary, the Exchange advertises itself as "Promoters of Street Fairs, Carnivals, and Summer Parks. Companies Routed. Opera Houses Booked." It also publishes "The Chicago Footlights". In this letter to the Northwestern Press Bureau (operated by Lawrence T. Berliner), Chas. J. Carter, President of the Exchange, explains subscription prices and advertising rates for 'Chicago Footlights'. He also sends along a subscription card and an advertising sheet (10 x 20 inch). Carter also asks Berliner (1881-1969), a sometimes correspondent for different trade publications, if he would be interested in being a correspondent for 'Footlights'. He includes a 'circular letter' that gives guidance to stringers. Fine clean copies. Bookseller Inventory #
