TLS on White House stationery (The White House Washington) dated December 5, 1916. To Henry Rising, (editor) Spokane Daily Chronicle, responding to letter of approval by Rising. Four plus typed lines signed in ink Woodrow Wilson. Sheet of stationery about 8.75"x14" folded in half to make two halves (one the letter head the other blank) about 8.75" tall x7" wide. Front letter head half without tears or soiling. The rear of the back half has tape and tape residue at top & bottom 1/4" from being framed. The letter is folded once, not affecting signature. "The White House" envelope is postmarked Washington D.C. Dec 6, 1916 with 2 cent stamp. Envelope is opened at the side with moderate soiling. Bookseller Inventory # 092
