Owthwaite (president of the Topeka Chamber of Commerce); Letters are glue to leaf, along with several small newspaper clippings, and both show small edge tears not affecting type or signatures; Landon letter reads: ".Dear Art: Your note of November 4th which I just found in the accumulated mail touches me very deeply. I have received many beautiful letters from all over the country, but none more so than yours. It is one that I shall always keep. Thank you for your gracious and happy expressions. / I have had a experience that comes to few men and the net of it is all to the good. One of the net gains from the last four years has been our better acquaintance and I hope it will not be interrupted. / With kindest personal regards, I am Your friend, Alf M Landon / Governor."; The Owthwaite letter reads: "Mr. A. J. Carruth, Jr. My dear Sir: / I should like to have you serve as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Committee which will make plans for the Inauguration of Governor-elect Huxman. / The first meeting of this Committee is being called for Tuesday, December 15th.". Historically, I have specialized in Kansas and regional history, but also maintain quality collections of Natural History, Theology, Americana, Railroad, Travel and Exploration, Medicine, Art, and Psychology, Neurology, and Psychiatry. Fine bindings, plate books, signed and inscribed items are also an important part of my collections. Smaller, though intriguing collections of other genre are also a part of my holdings.
