Typed, Signed Letter from Charles Bukowski to Don Schenker
Typed letter (about half a page), signed by Bukowski ("Buk"), with a drawing of a man and two dogs chasing a bare-chested woman. Schenker was a poet and co-founder of The Print Mint, an important publisher of underground comics in Berkeley, California. Bukowski mentions drink (here it is worth mentioning that he also doesn't seem to know what day it is), and submitting a comic. He closes, "I'm afraid to be as normal as the rest of the world." Quintessential Bukowski. Flattened creases from folding, else fine, suitable for display. SOLD WITH a b/w photograph (8x10 inches, silver gelatin print), portrait of Bukowski.
