A short typed letter, signed (TLS) on Manzanita Ranch letterhead, offering copies of his Homage to the Santa Fe for sale. 'As I have only printed 1000 copies, it will certainly be a collectors item very soon, as I have already sold 500 copies with no effort.' Merle Armitage was an influential avant garde book designer, with interests in many other arts, particularly modern dance. He also wrote a few books on railroads. Boldly signed in felt pen.
