About this Item

8.5 x 11 inches. 7 pages only; lacking last (?) page. Gay erotic fiction. Original typescript, typed one side of the leaf only; paper is typewriter/office paper. Underground gay fiction, of the type passed hand-to-hand or otherwise clandestinely distributed. Tom Norman, in his introduction to American Gay Erotic Paperbacks: A Bibliography, notes that "the earliest erotic literature aimed primarily at the gay male, usually quite amateurish, was mostly in typewritten or mimeographed form, and passed surreptitiously from person to person. Producers of the stories faced imprisonment and harrassment if they were caught. Rarely were the stories more than a few pages long, but even if they were of greater length, they were almost never printed and bound." Synopsis: Ray meets Dave, a Marine officer from Camp Pendleton, at a bar; they go off to "the Point" for sex and are busted by two cops, who take them to a barn for various sex games. Note: story begins referring to a "Hank"; which is either a typo or the writer changed his mind; "Hank" becomes "Ray" by the end of the paragraph. First line: Hank entered the bar and as he did so, every eye in the place turned and looked him over. Stapled at corner; slight oxidation and some minor creasing at corner. Very good.
