34 p.: woodcut illustrations; 20 cm. Large woodcut illustration on front wrapper, a woodcut illustration for "The Anatomy of Man's Body as supposed to be governed by the Twelve Constellations," and one seasonal woodcut for each month of the year. Original owner strengthened spine with a strip of paper and stitched a cloth loop at head of spine to form loop for hanging. In addition to the almanac material, contains a list of "Remarkable Events" pertaining to American history, primarily the American Revolution; events of the War of 1812; Uncle Sam (possibly taken from one of James K. Paulding's Uncle Sam stories); Dr. Franklin's Visit to his Mother; and a recipe for ginger beer. Former owner's name at foot of p. 7: Elizabeth Miller. Scarce. In Good- Condition: lacking back wrapper; corners are creased; minor loss at corners of front wrapper; soiling throughout; occasional foxing; 4-cm. tear from lower edge o pp. 9-10, without loss of text.
