Written by his wife, this book examines the life of Horace Underwood, a missionary to Korea, who arrived in 1885 and worked as an educator, social worker and organizer, working with both the Royal Family and common citizens and helping to lay the foundations for the church of Korea, the YMCA and the Yonsei University. GOOD jacket and book. Moderate fading to the jacket, with minor to moderate scuffing. Mostly minor soiling with a stain at the upper rear corner. Extremities scuffed and worn, with some creasing and a few minor tears. Book faded, with some scuffing, minor soiling and edgewear. Interior clean and solid with light foxing to the page edges.
