About this Item

The publication ends with a letter from Genet letter to Secretary of State Jefferson saying he had recruited no one "in the territory of the United States," but saying that he will encourage Americans living beyond the territory of the U.S. who wish to, to come to the aid France against Britain and Spain. According to Evans, the printing was done by Childs and Swaine. Small 8vo. 11 pp. Evans 27920. Removed from a nonce volume. First leaf foxed and separated. Title-page rubber-stamped by the AAS.
