Synopsis: Becky Olsen escapes her dead-end existence by leaving the dunes and ocean crowd behind in Florida. She takes only her meager savings, a prized Fire bird and an old duffle bag of clothes. Gravity holds her petite at 5’2” with tousled blonde hair and at 25 she has had her plate full, living in the shadow of foster care for most of her adolescent and teenage years. Leaving her past, her courage is rewarded, by the spin of a roulette wheel! Peter enters into her life, the dark haired handsome man that is patient for the prize of her love, while she struggles to cope with awkward body language and the quest in finding her long lost brother. She makes a run for her desperate dream only to find that there is no fairness for those who fought the war in Iraq. The war has torn hearts and minds to pieces, leaving some in the hell of tics and twitches. You will follow her chasing her vision and be enfolded with compassion for her. Becky’s humor is refreshing and her love is unbend-able and unbreakable, her sins are forgivable as she puts time and distance between her past.

About the Author: ABOUT THE AUTHOR Margaret Deznan/Margaret Roze- I have enjoyed writing for at least a decade or more about life’s situations and events. I assembled them in small stories but was never quite able to find time to fashion them into a completed work. I decided to challenge myself to the task, completing this second novel, the first was Unlovely Letters. Surprising myself, I became a winner along with the woman in this novel “Unlovely Lives.” Now that I have retired, I continue to find time to write working around four rescue dogs and three cats. If you find me at home, I am probably tweaking details, or pondering plots. I am originally from the Edison Park, a suburb of Chicago and moved through the US on my way to Florida, where I have resided since 1971. My husband, two wonderful children and their families are my inspiration. OTHER BOOKSby Margaret Roze UNLOVELY LETTERS
