About this title
Unplugged: A Medical and Metaphysical Journey presents the reader with guiding principles to help live one s life to the fullest. Inside these pages, Robert Strauss discusses many topics such as life, death, religion, and happiness. A special highlight is the inclusion of Bob's Ethical Will: a letter to his wife, family, and friends directing them to "Go about living! And enjoy the ride!"About the Author:
Robert Frank Strauss, an avid reader of history, philosophy, and biography, hoped to write philosophy in his retirement. After a cancer diagnosis, Bob began writing by night while continuing his full-time law practice and numerous medical treatments by day. He completed this philosophy book and was working on several other books about philosophy, history, tax planning, and sports when he died.
Bob earned a BA with Departmental Honors in Psychology from Northwestern University, a JD degree from the University of Illinois Law School, and passed two state Bar exams and the CPA examination within the same year. Bob began his career in the tax department of Arthur Anderson & Co. in Minneapolis but moved on to practice law after two and a half years. At the time of his death, he was a senior partner with the law firm of Mackall, Crounse and Moore, heading the firm's Mergers & Acquisitions, Community Development and Health Law practice sections. Bob and his wife, Marcy, were married for twenty-eight years and raised two sons.
