About the Author:

CATHERINE MCHUGH ENGSTROM is an assistant professor of higher education at Syracuse University. Previously, she was a faculty member and assistant dean of students at Virginia Tech.

KEVIN W. KRUGER is an associate executive director of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Previoulsy he was assistant vice president for student affairs at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
