Fine condition red cloth boards with brown and gold front cover and spine lettering and decorations contained in a good condition dust jacket. Includes Dedication; Preliminary Page Note re: Prior Appearance of Some Verses in Various Magazines; and Index of First Lines. The jacket had scattered edgewear mostly at the edges of the jacket flaps and the upper jacket spine edge (see photographs). "Here is the first book of new verse by Ogden Nash since the publication of Good Intentions in 1942. It contains almost one hundred poems never before confined between the covers of a book. Here is Ogden Nash, squarely on the target as always, even though he now confesses that: 'I have recently been pondering the life expectancy which the Bible allots to man, And at this point I figure I have worked my way through nine-fourteenths of my hypothetical span.'
