Number 15 in the series of Keepsakes issued by the Friends of the Bancroft Library. Edited by George Koenig. Foreward by J.S. Holliday. Photographs of Death Valley by Ansel Adams. Route Map by Robert Becker. Designed and printed by Lawton and Alfred Kennedy. Green cloth is nice with just a hint of wear at the top front corner. Gilt titles on the spine and the front board are bright. Some inside pages are uncut. The pages are bright and look unmarked. Taken from Louis Nusbaumer diary from Decmber of 1849 to March 10, 1850. His group got lost on the way to the gold fields of California and went through what would become known as Death Valley looking for an escape out. Bookseller Inventory #
