Book Description Henry T. Thomas Company, New York, 1896. Full Calf. Book Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No DJ. By Author (illustrator). Limited Edition. A Special signed Edition Limited to 540 copies of which this is number 22, stated on title Page, signed boldly by the author below statement of limited edition. Profusely illustrated with tipped in Monochrome lithographic plates, with color, and b/w illustrations as well. This massive Atlas Folio is bound in Full grained Morocco, with gilt decorations framing central rectangular levant morocco cartouche titlepiece with gilt lettering, spine in six compartments with five raised bands. Marbled endsheets. Scarce with over 60 illustrations, and remains an increasingly sought after aesthetic masterpiece. That's the good news, now for the bad; aside from lacking frontis, tidal marked from the great flood of 1993 in St. Louis. Tidal mark extends to most pages, but does not touch any tipped in print save one. Front board detached, minor edgewear, original green binding faded into bronze, still visable on majority of back board. The only signed copy available anywhere, one of a kind. Pictures available upon request. Size: Atlas Folio. By Author. Bookseller Inventory # 009727
