About this Item

A Good only copy with stains to the top edge & front pastedown & flyleaf of the book in a Good only dust jacket with stains to the rear panel of the jacket. Kuno Knoebl was an Austrian journalist who, among other things, reported the Second Indochina War as a combat correspondent from both sides during the mid-1960s. The term "Second Indochina War" was actually coined by the legendary Bernard B. Fall in his introduction to Knoebl's book on that conflict, 'Victor Charlie: The Face of War in Vietnam'. In this account, Knoebl writes with compassion about the participants on both sides of the war. He presents an intimate view of life behind the line and in the villages, painting a picture of the human beings involved in the conflict. Bookseller Inventory # 24925
