58 x 89 mm. *Thieme-Becker 26; Vollmer 3. - Handsigniert. Im Druck signiert. Der Sohn eines Wiener Bäckermeisters setzt sich schon früh in Kopf, Künstler zu werden. Auf eigene Faust erlernt er das Nötige, weshalb er als "niemandes Schüler" (Die graphischen Künste 1928, S. 28) gilt. Immer ist er auf Auftragsarbeiten angewiesen, wozu sicher seine Exlibris und PFs gehören. 1939 muß er wegen seiner jüdischen Herkunft aus Österreich fliehen und stirbt 1940 in einem Internierungslager auf der Isle of Man. - Rückseitig kleine Montagereste.
