Decorated paper over boards, white vellum-backed, title printed in black at spine. A fanciful black-and-white bookplate of Naomi Kitay pasted onto the first free endpaper, rear endpaper toned, else clean and unmarked. Made on mould-made paper. Fine publisher's device at title page, printed in red and black. This is the second printing by the High Horse Press of a fragment of Latin poetry, variously translated, this time by Thomas Parnell, who was born in Dublin in 1679 and who died there in 1718. The poem, translated/titled variously as "The Vigil of Venus, has been attributed, says the publisher, to Apuleius, Catullus, Lecretius, Florus, Solinus, Tiberianus and other writers.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
