About this Item

Edtt-tinted white covers with illustration of the McKeen motor car in red and titles green are bright, showing light edge wear and soiling. The spiral binding is firm and just lightly worn. The pages are unmarked except for a pencilled seller's price on the title page. A nice copy of this Restoration proposal, which also provides a history of the McKeen Motor cars in general, and this particular car specifically. Be it noted, after this book came out, the restoration was approved, and the restored motor car was unveiled in 2010, a century after it was originally delivered to the Virginia and Truckee. Motor Car 22 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, and designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012. It is one of a few surviving McKeen railcars, and the only one that is operational. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 001461
