About this Item

First edition SIGNED: Limited to less than 200 copies displaying its own appeal: soft cloth bound sewn wraps. Held in a sturdy cloth-covered slipcase. New. It opens as a book should when held in the hands. Text crisp and typography bright. We'll guess there is no book on earth like this one. It matches perfectly the first two volumes in the poet's opus as issued from Lapis Press (1990); also available from Longhouse. Likewise cover art by the late Sam Francis. Composition in Baskerville and all printed in Kyoto, Japan. The whole package weighs in at three pounds. Regarding Cid Corman: Volume Three "of" is one part of a yet unpublished five-volume single book of poems. It draws on all cultures and tells the human situation with a directness and immediacy. Each volume [Volume One, Volume Two and Volume Three] has 750 poems per volume. Beautifully produced. The author's life was dedicated to poetry - even as poetry is dedicated to life. Cid Corman's reputation as translator is well known in a dozen other languages and his work is in Special Collections at many key libraries in USA and in Canada. There are recordings and videos of his work and performance at Harvard University and the Library of Congress as well as elsewhere.Inquire about "of, Volume One and Two" which have been published together in one boxed edition. Signed by the poet, on his small personal bookplate (Plus shipping and handling of $15 - priority rate/insured). Bookseller Inventory # 6120
