(xix) + 150pp. Limited edition, this being No. 1833 of 2000 copies; signed by both the illustrator and the edition designer on final leaf before endpaper. Pictorial endpapers; four full-page colour plates; attractive smaller illustrations in brown and green at head of each chapter. Folio, xx, 150, [2] pages with numerous monochrome illustrations and 4 colour plates plus endpaper maps. Decorated cloth with a leather title-label on the spine; top corners very slightly bumped; spine very lightly sunned; an excellent copy in the slightly bumped slipcase. Introduced by Alan Villiers, illustrated with watercolours and drawings by Geoffrey Ingleton, designed by Douglas Dunstan, and printed at the Griffin Press in Adelaide for the Limited Editions Club. Accompanying the book is a copy of the Club's Monthly Newsletter (December 1975, Number 494; octavo, 8 pages with a related leaflet loosely inserted); it is devoted exclusively to this publication. The edition was limited to 2000 numbered copies signed by Ingleton and Dunstan (book designer, typographer and managing director of the Griffin Press until his retirement in 1967).
