"Voyages is Mackenzie's journals of two expeditions, the first, June- Sept. 1789 from Fort Chipewyan on Lake Athabaska down the river, now called Mackenzie, to the Arctic, the first trip to the Arctic from the Canadian prairie. The second journal, Oct. 1792-Aug. 1793, includes a diary of his voyage from Fort Chipewyan over the Rocky Mountains by the Peace and Fraser Rivers to the Pacific, the first overland expedition to reach the Pacific, north of Mexico."
