Dark blue cloth rubbed with stains along front and rear board fore-edges, spine cocked but retains vibrant gilt stamped lettering. Light soiling to front endpapers but with stronger staining to rear endpapers. Interior pages are clean. A good copy of an exceptionally uncommon book reviewing the history of the Washington Senators baseball team which was often disparaged as "First in peace, first in war, and last in the American League.".
