8vo, pp, 168, original coloured pictorial boards, stamp of "Whittinghame Parish Library" on the title-page and leading free endpaper, early name on the leading free endpaper, a very rare title especially in the original binding which is very good, a small part of the printed paper spine is missing Chapters on London, Antwerp, Furnes, La Panne, &c &c Sarah Broom Macnaughtan [1864-1916] was a Scottish Novelist. With the outbreak of the first world war she volunteered with the Red Cross Society and was sent to Russia then Armenia. She wrote much about the plight of refugees from the Armenian genocide.
