[9]-122(complete), 2 text figures; brown papered boards, worn and lightly soiled, the corners chipped, lacking most of the spine including part of the printed paper title label, the joints tender; later (but not recent) endpapers, with bookplate and bookseller's sticker on upper pastedown, name in ink on preliminary blank, the text leaves browned, number stamp near bottom fore-corner p. 33, a few marginal water stains, scattered light foxing and soiling; William D. Ticknor & Co., Boston, 1846. First edition. Hill 1259. *James Oliver died in 1845. This is his eleven-chapter account of the voyage and shipwreck of the Glide, which was copyrighted and later expanded by William G. Dix.
