About this Item

This is the original 1900 First printing, which has been deacquisitioned by a historical society. A number of pages are detached, and have chips to the edges. Bound in clean, beige, library buckram, with well attached covers, but cracked inner hinges. Gilt lettered, black spine label. 434 clean pages, with a few pages having some scotch-taping to the edges. Has the muti-color coats of arms page. There is a fold-out copy of John Wakeman's will, but it is printed on very delicate paper, and is now edge-chipped, and is in 2 pieces. There are a number of full page illustrations and photographs, mostly in very good, clear condition. Enclosed in the book is a 1997 letter that gives 4 additional lines of errata. The spine has a light discoloration from a removed library label, and the inner cover has the library bookplate. The library has blindstamped their name on the detached and edge-chipped title page.
