Synopsis: "Walking By Day" is Hutchins account of how the federal Superfund law and the various State laws that followed have contributed to the ruin of many small businesses across America. Hutchins walks the reader through his own nightmare as he was forced to watch CERCLA hold his family business captive for more than nine years. Calling on the classical tradition of the muse, the author's Greek and Roman gods help him relate his inspired story in a way that is of interest to anyone who believes in the concept of the American Dream and the rights that the Constitution upholds. As readers embark on an informative walk through the pages of "Walking By Day," they'll discover that Superfund has done far more to contribute to the coffers of the legal profession than stamp out any environmental hazards it was orginally designed to confront.
About the Author: Don Hutchins was born in 1935. He graduated for Dartmouth College in 1957. Hutchins holds several U.S. and international patents in the area of electronics. One patent has been developed into a battery operated consumer product called "CPR Prompt" that uses electronic speech technology to guide rescuers through Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
